I loved this quote about the flyover: "To say that it should not be made public knowing that it might scare people it's just confounding," Sen. Charles Schumer said. "It's what gives Washington and government a bad name. It's sheer stupidity."

Wow. I finally agree with Senator Schumer. But, take heart, America...I am sure that the federal government will handle your healthcare with the same sensitivity and concern for the public's welfare.

According to Janet Napolitano's criteria, Governor Perry is a now a dangerous "right wing extremist" for rejecting federal authority in favor of state and local authority. I wonder if the DHS has him on a watch list?

1. Secure our borders ASAP
2. Increase domestic oil drilling
3. Institiute a Fair Tax
4. Stop the bailouts
5. Stop nationalized health care and make private insurance portable and more competitive
6. Return the census to the Commerce Department
7. Maintain the Bush tax cuts and cut corporate, death and capital gains taxes
8. Reinstitute welfare reform
9. Eliminate AmeriCorps, federal funding for groups such as ACORN, and misguided legislation including Sarbanes-Oxley, McCain-Feingold, and cap and trade
10. Phase out the the bloated Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Housing and Urban Development, Agriculture, Labor and Energy. I am not kidding.

I just saw a video of President Obama's deep bow to the king of Saudi Arabia, and I was stunned! (He apparently did not bow to the Queen of England, BTW ). What a humiliating scene, and what an insult to American citizens.

Yikes, why do we think that the geniuses in Washington are competent to manage this "overhaul"? They couldn't even enforce the existing regulations.

Thank you so much for this website! It is heartening to know that so many people care deeply about the future of this country. Judy...I hope that, despite our growing frustration, we will keep praying for President Obama and the members of Congress. Maybe that's the first step in turning this mess around!
