I own all of the TV seasons on DVD and am a huge fan, although I have to agree that a lot of their 'feature length' offerings seemed to me to be uninspired, disjointed, and lacking in what made the series great in the first place... Here's hoping that the new episodes live up to the series' former greatness!
Dreadful. Why even use the name Sherlock Holmes if you're going to change 95% of what attracted people to the character in the first place? Oh yeah, I forgot... box office cash money.
I totally agree. This is like some kind of spoof of a bad Hollywood idea.
This plays like a SNL skit spoofing clueless, idiotic Hollywood action movies having no shame and taking a beloved literary character to the bank to cash in. I will not be seeing it. Maybe I'll go re-read some of Conan Doyle's great stories, or watch some of the superior adaptations done by public television.
I love RDJ, but he had to pick a bad one at some point.
