Nothing will prove that the 420 event is meant to be a peaceful protest like a riot!!
If the camera is really this desperate for a news story, they're welcome to do a story on my morning bowel movement. I suspect that story will be just as interesting as this one.
Can you come up with something that Pridemark did that wasn't years ago? That was actually their fault? I remember hearing about that accident. Yeah, that girl died, that sucks. But the ambulance wasn't speeding outside of their protocol, they were actually only going 6pmh above the speed limit. And she was listening to earphones instead of paying attention to an oncoming emergency vehicle. It was just pure bad luck that it was an ambulance and not another car that hit her. That one accident absolutely has nothing to do with Pridemark's reliability. Would you like to try again, give us another example? One that doesn't involve some young girl who made a bad mistake years ago?
I drove by this after it happened. The driver was in the right lane on 28th, and it looked like it was probably a little darker part of the street when there weren't a ton of emergency vehicles. Are you always prepared for someone to dart in front of you, from the shadows of the street, when you're doing 35 down a very busy road? We all try, but there's only so much you can do to avoid someone who chooses to do that. Do you slow down every time you pass by a pedestrian on a sidewalk, just in case they decide to randomly walk in front of you instead of waiting 5 seconds for you to pass? I feel bad for the poor driver, I can only imagine how bad I'd feel if it were me.
You do realize that alcohol actually makes it a lot easier to become hypothermic and freezing to death, right? People who choose to drink every night instead of staying in the homeless shelter are actually putting themselves at far greater risk than someone who chooses not to drink but sleeps outside anyway. Or someone who drinks and goes to a warming shelter instead of the homeless shelter. So please don't try to feed us this BS that they have to do it to survive the long cold nights.
