Well written, and I would guess well delivered.

Actually, if you are choosing NOT to vote for any of the Candidates available... or making a statemment, if you will... you can go in and register that you did in fact come to vote... and then refuse the ballot. This is the legitimate way that your message is sent through EC that voters do not like what they have been offered.

You can bet that any serious amount of refused ballots (like 40%of registered voters, for example) would get the attention of ALL the Parties.

Not bothering is what has brought us to this point.

I have a problem with the attack ads when there is an election, regardless of the party that puts them out.
Do they work? I'd have to say yes, if you are uninterested in politics and unwilling to educate yourself about the issues during an election period.
However, when there is NO election called, it borders on contemptable behaviour on the part of ANY party that puts them out.

I thought that the tender, blueprints etc. had to be done BEFORE they applied for the $$ from the Government? Isn't that why the municipalities were upset that the $$ wasn't flowing?

Completely unrelated - or not, depending on how you see the current Government - the Colbert Report last night had a segment where he referred to SH as "Canada's Dictator"( he was actually giving advice to N Korea's "heir", on how to be crazy), and then again while interviewing an economic advisor to the President, he called SH a "madman".

I don't know how to post a link, so I can't put it here... but it was hilarious!

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have nightmares about this photo for weeks.

I'm glad someone else watched the doc on the exportation of asbestos. I found it disturbing.

I agree, and I think one of them will blink when it comes down to it.

Jack isn't likely to be the one (in my opinion)unless forced, because he would then have to convince people that propping up the Government isn't the mortal sin he made it out to be last year, LOL.

However, the Bloc doesn't have so much to lose, and a trip to the polls doesn't put the bulk of their seats in danger... and so they can put Jack in an uncomfortable position. They then get to watch all three of the other parties deal with the disappointment and/or bitterness and/or humiliation that previous behaviour has left them with. Win/Win if you are a Bloc.
