I agree with most comments above. Obviously we lack scoring goals, thus we need a quality striker. However, we're all aware what position we're in and therefore it's not easy to attract top world class strikers that may be available (and affordable). When Sullivan states he's willing to splash 100 k a week on a player (despite being a free agent) he's - imo -a nutter. I can see the point if signing this particular striker guarantees PL football next season (only if we're talking a short term contract of 6 months/til end of season), but ....why continue the silly financial path of the islandics? Yes, we need a striker and better be sooner rather than later! I also believe a solid RB is a MUST, and I'd also like to see a goal scoring midfielder. As for strikers I could see a player like Klaas Jan Huntelar doing well under Zola/Clark. Also Bobby Z would be good - if he can continue his current form!?! Otherwise I'd look to the Dutch or German league - these players seem to adjust better to the PL than players from Spain or Italy - imo. RB - a cheap option could be Lars Jacobsen from Blackburn. A Danish international and good at the back, as well as good in going forward.
If Behrami or Upson leaves.....to be honest....than fair enough - gives us a bit of cash and if the money is right we can easily replace them. Although the club need someone who can adapt quickly....after all we don't wanna get relegated.
