So very true. The best thing I have to show for college is the invaluable friendships I've made. :)

Well then, sporadic reader, I shall accept your response with a grain of salt.

No really though, thanks for your input! I always feel like the posts that I DO post that are just my thoughts and such always turn out incurably random, which I suppose works since I am, by very definition of myself, random.

I will try to do better to post more photos though. And better quality than my stinky little mobile uploads. Well... hopefully. :)

Oh please! We have plenty of owls around here!

Its just a matter of actually knowing HOW to genetically mutate ANYTHING.

Fail for not being an evil genius.

Or maybe I should just find an owl and genetically mutate it so that its large enough to carry me and use that.

Win for killing two birds with one stone.

.... no pun intended.

On thanksgiving... nearly three weeks ago, I had a nice family thanksgiving dinner with a couple of good friends from my church small group. It was a nice vacation from work and school.

Question: Does your boss know you're blogging on the job??

Not at all! That was one of my high school teachers/now pastors. Probably one of the coolest people on Earth. :)

I finally updated my about me (I say finally as if the entire world has been in suspense waiting for a more cohesive and complete version). I wrote it for a friend of mine who is putting together a sort of Acts book among her Christian friends; a compilation of testimonies and such. It forced me to take a deep look at where I've come from and where I'm going... and its not really completely complete as in reference to the past. God will take me there someday. :)

Thanks for the encouragement! It is a blessing to know that God is using my story to encourage others in spite of the pain I've endured. And thats the best anyone can say: if my life story in any way brings someone closer to the Kingdom than they had been before, all to His glory!

When I was in sixth grade I had two girls I thought were my friends run away from me when they saw me. In the same year I had two girls who were also in my band class that we were walking to pass me up as I overheard them saying, "Talk about uni-brow."

Almost 11 years later I still fight with being rejected by the popular girls in my college group who put on these smiles but gloss over their eyes.

I'm so thankful that Jesus runs to me, not away. I'm so thankful Jesus always finds me beautiful and not repulsive, with or without a uni-brow. I am so thankful that Jesus doesn't ignore me at church or smile fakely, just to pull the wool over the leaders eyes.

You could also be like my church and have and Easter service on Halloween morning.

No joke. They're going ALL out.

We've been reading through the book of Luke and the resurrection of Christ just HAPPENED to fall on this sunday.

I'm not quite sure how I completely feel about this considering my church is more on the spiritually conservative side (Can you say Beethoven's 9th?) and I'm a bit more on the liberal side (in all respects)...
