I used to call the Offering "Hot Potato Time". It was always fun to see how fast that basket would move. Evidently my comments made certain people uneasy judging by their dirty looks... Probably the non-tithers.

PS. Churches prefer cheques (checks :p) to cash because they don't have to pay fees to the bank for processing.

I think we miss the point. We need to stop inviting people to church! Stop sluffing off our responsibilities on the pastor and music team. Church is for the believers. Our job is to be in the world reflecting Gods love.
