It was good. Sweet. Japanese usually saw amai with a scowl but this was just like home. Good and sweet. Just needed to be heated-up with some vanilla ice cream on top ;)

They are not expecting a 12 year old to be at the Eiken 1 but that is their mistake. I teach it because it gives them confidence and I have integrated it into my conversation lessons without a problem. Good luck to your 12 year old :)

It's a total memory test full of impractical and rarely used,even dated words. But....it's the test that must be passed. I think only 7% of Eiken 1 challengers pass on the 1st try so I'm pushing her to be in that 7% :)

Yeah, the picture on the bottom of is their standard weekly assignment which is an opinion (written and oral) about an article from a newspaper. That along with their diaries has really helped with the pre2 thru 1 tests
