It is a shady .. however you entered into a 2yr contract with tmobile . When you agreed to that contract in the fine print there is a termination fee for breaking the contract .. now some may argue that the 200 fee should only be there if tmobile is also supplying the phone that goes with the upgrade ( a very valid point ) however in the fine print it does not state that , they leave it as general as possible in saying regardless of what happens if you break the contract you pay.
As far as the google part goes they can't let us get away with a $500+ for 179...then go and sell it back on ebay for 500+ and make a profit off them ... hence the pay us the money or send the phone back ...

Workaround go on craigslist or ebay and try to find a nexus unlocked for less than online price on google

i think this blows droid out the frame when comparing the UI ... rachel is simply on a different level ... i hope that drops for tmobile in the states cuz i will def be getting it

Snaps of the phone link keeps freezing up on me for some reason .. but this looks from that pic a dead ringer to the droid .... that dpad makes the keyboard look unattractive

I think for my 2.0 updates i will take my complaints to cyan ... i wish hero would get updates from 1.5 .. to 2.0 or 1.6 at least gosh .. i miss the new market

Yea sadly everyone who owns a g1 has come to realize we were testing animals for android .. and as these updates get better and better eventually we will have to ditch the G1 and upgrade if we wanna keep up.

Thankfully for cooked roms i have faith cyan and the rest of xda will merge features into current builds and bring eclair to the hacking masses ...

Sad though about what happens to average users
