when I applied to get my permit, I remember a part about needing a license to even purchase one from a friend. To own a hand gun or even purchase one in a store or off a independent seller you need to have verification that you can legally obtain a handgun in the state of Iowa. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that is right

I'm not a so called republican, and I thought it was a clever way to gain interest in what they are doing. I about fell out of my chair when I saw they are holding a BBQ for animal rights. My personal beliefs are based that everybody should have the right to eat animals. They are good when cooked, and even better when covered in BBQ.

If you vote no they will raise our property taxes. That is Corbets plan B, that is why he will not talk about it. We can either allow out of town visitors help pay with the sales tax, or we (Cedar Rapidians) can all pay more property tax. Either way the City is going to get the money for their projects. As much as I would love to vote no, I don't want the citizens of Cedar Rapids to have to foot the entire bill for these projects when we can have visitors help pay as well. This just seems like a lose, lose situation.
