She got 7 years. She's currently in a women's prison in Gig Harbor. I worked with her a long time ago. http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20110103/NEWS01/...

It's too bad they couldn't install that special device on ALL cars that you have to breathe in for it to start. If a sober person blows in it for a drunk person, they would get the same punishment as the drunk driver for "aiding in drunk driving."

Take these kids away before they end up dead. MRSA is no joke and takes heavy IV antibiotics to fight. The mother can't feed her baby but I be she can still afford her smokes and beer.

C'mon you probably had your momma's breast in your mouth in public as an infant too. When your baby is hungry it is your parental duty to take care of that child's hunger regardless of where you are (or what you happen to be wearing) without regard to what other people may think. Why should feeding a child be private? Perhaps we should start raising hell about animals feeding their young too, right? A child's well-being should be a parent's priority. What is so disgusting about a mother naturally feeding her baby? This is what breasts were created for; they weren't meant to be a sexual object. If you are one of those that see this as sexual in nature (comparing it to pornography) then you're sick in the head and need some serious help. There is absolutely nothing sexual about a baby and their mother.

Don't you give up your rights when you go to prison? At least that's what I thought.

This literally made me sick to my stomach. I'm not familiar with the laws when it comes to children, but why can't WA State step in and increase punishment for child abuse?

Agreed. We don't know the mother's situation, but there were other places she could've dropped them off at. It could've been a church, a police station/fire dept, hospital, etc. At least this way, they would've had a warm place and food in their bellies. All she ended up doing was puting them in harms way.

Did he forget that Washington passed the law where someone can choose "death with dignity?" I had a co-worker whose husband was also terminally ill with brain cancer. He had a doctor that prescribed him the pills and after a night of spending time with his close family and friends he was ready for the deadly cocktail that made him fall asleep forever. It's sad that this man had to make this decision to put his wife out of her misery, but other options are available and he would not be sitting in jail right now. Perhaps we don't have the entire story and maybe he couldn't find a doctor that would prescribe this.?. Who knows.

I don't understand the process/rules of medical marijuana because I never bothered to look into it. I guess my question would be, if someone tested positive and they had a legitimate prescription, wouldn't they just have to prove that they were prescribed it? I used to conduct urine drug screens and if anyone popped positive for narcotics they would just have to supply proof of a prescription to the MRO (medical review office) and that would be the end of it; no big deal. I wonder if the same goes for marijuana?

I'll vote for that.
