My name is Carolyn Mejia and I am the Media Director at ROCK Church.  I have just returned from a 2 week vacation and have come across your question in my email about our process for membership class.  I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.

Our methodology for membership class seems to be in constant flux... in fact it is in the process of being revised once again.  So, I guess I will share with you the model that we are moving towards.  On August 30th we go from having one service each week to having 2 services.  Up until now we have had our membership classes every few months during our main service.  Starting this fall we will start a rotation of 4 classes which will be held during our first service.  We are calling this rotation "Growth Track".  Here is an overview of how each week will work...

Growth Track Classes
Membership 101
Essentials 201 Discovery 301 Dream Team 401 Membership 101 - first Sunday 9am
Explains who and what ROCK Church is. Teaching includes everything already taught in our present Membership Class. (our core beliefs, our history, gifts of the spirit, tithing, serving)
Essentials 201 - second Sunday 9am (water baptism 11am)
What does it mean to be a Christian? Provide tools to help develop Christian maturity. Understanding of water baptism and provide the opportunity to be baptized during second service.How to pray Discovery 301 - third Sunday 9am

What is my testimony and how do I share my faith?
Learn how to develop your God given gifts. Who is Holy Spirit and what are the fruits of the Spirit?Give opportunity for baptism in Holy Spirit.
Dream Team 401 - fourth Sunday 9am

What are my gifts and how do I use them?
