any sense on how much is going into this movie, budget wise?

is this another studio trying (yet again) to cash in on our fond memories of the original with a cheap, quick, cash-in of a "remake" or are they actually putting money into this? or is it too early to tell?

i thought they pulled the plug on this franchise.

don't bother seeing the second one, it's vastly inferior to the first. i didn't like the first one either but at least you could see the high production values and hopes were high that this was gonna be the next LOTR (albeit for kids w/heavy christian overtones).

well, as we all know now it didn't quite work out that way and it shows all throughout the sequel. acting is flat, pacing is sleep-inducing and the production values are non-existent. it felt like a modestly-budgeted straight-to-DVD.

i can't believe they're making another one, lol.

well this isn't good news at all. the last one was a total embarrassment and now they seem content to just piss all over it.

Hitman and Swordfish were both garbage, for the record.
