the key term to your post, is the south, right to work states. isnt it amazing that with the UAW out of the picture how much more efficiently they run?

jeeps have been around long before amc, and we should all be greatful that they survived under there rule. we can complaign about current jeeps all we want but they are still the only brand to offer a solid f/r axled rig in a fun vehicle. jeep purists run the gauntlet from YJ was the death, to TJ was the death, and very few have accepted the new JK but its merits are being proven every day. the Jeep brand has helped shape america, many strive to copy it, few have. I to believe thet they should all be allowed to fail, or at very least a means to restructure labor cause that realy is the bottum line.

I think it is putting off the inevitable, I beleive the economies will have to tank and recover on there own. it may hurt more but at least it should not cause the inflation that this spending will cause.

everyone complaigns about childrens behavior these days, we continually fight them and there instincts to be children, and then rush them to a physician to medicate them when they act out.

both california and florida have very strict offshore drilling laws. california I am not so sure about but I am fairly certain there is no drilling of the coast of florida.
you are correct in foreign intrests harvesting our resources, I am just not sure that florida has any drilling.

they were serving us when they passed these bills without reading them? I doubt I would allow most of them to serve me a hamburger let alone represent my veiws. there are a few I am sure that beleive they are doing good, the vast majority just are afraid to ever hold a real job.

I was not singling out the youth as the problem, I was trying to show how every generation blames the next, and throws up there hands and walks away. no one group is responsible but on the same note no one group will fix it on there own. I was trying to show that we need to all work together.

maybe another way to look at this is less as trying to be fair and more as trying to be realistic and ensure your villiages survival before being to concerned with the other villiages problems.

every generation has seen the coming of the end. every generation has seen the "youth" ruin what they have worked so hard to make better. noone knows the hour, there is still time to turn it all around, who is to say there cannot be more time?
the main problem we will find trying to unify the "common" man is that unlike the people who elected Obama we all think for oursleves, the chance of unifying this many people into a set system of beleifs is futile, but in the way glenn is doing it by people agreeing on some core values, it greatly increases the chances of this paying off. these are strange times, we are watching as the goverment and unions decide our future while we sit back and cry "why and how" there will be an uprising someday but how long will we wait?
as a nation we are drifting further and further from addressing our enemies, yet how long till we become the enemy? at what point do we get silenced?
I just joined and I am sure I have overstepped for my first post but I will be around and hopefully pick up a few things from this site.
