I think that the movie "THE EDGE" is a fine example of a survival situation. I lived in Alaska for some 20 years and can relate to the situation in the movie. The analitical mind wins and that is the truth. I was actively involved in USCG search & rescue in Alaska for many years and being of a survivalist mind set I can attest to the skills displayed in the movie.
