It's true that the media often covers up the race of the perpetrator of a violent act when he is non-white. One has to read between the lines, which is not difficult to do if one has a clue - but most people don't, in large part due to mainstream media p.c.
Why? That was an enjoyable, well-made film and Brand was terrific in it.
Thank God someone else here appreciates Gottfried's absurdist black humor. I don't think the guy is mean-spirited. If you've seen "The Aristocrats" - in which he gives easily one of the funniest performances of the featured comedians - you'll see him making 9/11 jokes shortly after that tragedy. Obviously it's not because he doesn't see it as a tragedy, but it's his way of addressing it. He makes a mockery out of everything, including himself, and he's damn funny doing it.
Not even the women he had sex with dispute that the sex was consensual. Once again, consensual sex is not rape.
Polanski manipulated and forced himself on a young girl. This obviously does not resemble the Assange case at all.
Oh, and Sweden is not Assange's home country. He's Australian.
It is a non sequitur. That doesn't change the fact that the rape charges against Assange are indeed hooey. He had sex with two groupies, who later had buyer's remorse. That is not rape.
Posts like this demonstrate that this is not a conservative site, but rather a "right-liberal" one. Anyone familiar with the basic facts of this case knows that the sex between Assange and these women was consensual, and therefore not rape under any reasonable definition.

You're right, I wouldn't know about the convenience of contacts. I only wear them almost every day. Except on those days I decide to throw on my (insert epithet) glasses.
Why is Mr. Nolte so angered by Sorkin's glasses? Come to think of it, he made a disparaging remark about Stephen Colbert's glasses too. What kind of glasses are acceptable to you, John?
I guess I saw a different clip from everyone else. The moment was awkward but Maher stuck to his guns, no one seriously opposed him, and the audience applauded at the end.
