In Outlook, I can schedule an email for delivery later. It's very convenient. Perhaps this was scheduled under shall-we-say different circumstances?

Please don't say "4th election in seven years". It's actually the 4th election in 11 years -- you have to count the in-between years consistently. Otherwise, you could complain about a majority by saying "2nd election in 5 years." It's technically true, but only if you pretend the years before don't matter.

It's been months. Debates have happened, and some have chosen to rehash the same disproven arguments every time the census issue is discussed. Why should someone continue, if you've shown no interest in the discussion?

And the religious groups. And the secular charities. And the Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade. And the municipal governments. And the provincial governments. Of course, these are all interest groups too. Is there anyone, Dennis, who is not part of an interest group? Or does disagreeing with the government by definition mean one is part of an (evil, ignorable) interest group?

Put another way: can you list any individual or group that could speak out on the census change who you would not dismiss as part of an interest group?

Polling firms like this are running many surveys constantly, randomly calling/emailing/whatever thousands and thousands of people. They would insert the questions into their other surveys or run a dedicated survey, then as described in the link above weight it using census data for age/population/etc. That way asking more people in Atlantic Canada (as they did in this case) doesn't damage the integrity of the results.

I guess we should never do anything, eat anything, drink anything, use any medication, or change anything ever then. Good argument.

It's not what *you're* missing, it's what's missing everywhere else: actual data. The problem is displayed here:

You put in more effort than Mary did.

Sometimes. Physics, biology and chemistry are not determined based on popular vote, so maybe scientific decisions in the world deserve better?
