I don't doubt what you are saying about Drudge, but calling Perry and Gingrich "real" conservatives is simply not true. A real conservative promotes limited government, and those two guys have a long history of supporting many programs that vastly expand the size and scope of government. They are the typical modern day big government, republicans. With the mountain of debt and the problems excessive spending and caused and the problems government intervention has caused in medicine, student loans, auto industry, banking, airlines, housing, etc.....the last thing we need is another big government phony conservative.

Reagan may have passed the torch to Newt who promptly extinguished it in the toilet and became a big government phony conservative. Read Drudge to see how Newt really felt about Reagan who mentioned him once in his book. Newt is nuts.

America......... humor us Dr. Paul supporters for a moment........Let's assume this is a three horse race - Paul, Obama, & Romney. Let's also assume America is facing major problems right now. In fact, bigger and more numerous problems then we have faced in decades........Huge debt, high unemployment, government overreach, Constitutional violations, and major issues overseas. Now, of the three contenders......honestly, which one understands these issues more than the others? Which one understands the way to deal with these problems?......I mean really understands......not to defer them til' later.......really deal with them????? Now which supporters of the three are the most informed on the candidates and the issues????? Is it even close???? So the most uninformed supporters are propping up their candidates and they don't really have a hold on the issues or even their chosen candidate.......now who's crazy????

I hope we all realize that all this 10 year window talk is nonsense. Current congess cannot bind this for future congresses. This is pushing the burden further down the line to ensure that any administration will be long gone and not be responsible. Politics, for years, has become to just make sure that the disaster doesn't happen "on my watch." Hence, the stimulous, bailouts, rate cuts, etc.......All short term "fixes" that defer the problems and responsibilities to future administrations and also make the danger more severe. We need major spending cuts now! Year one! We probably can sustain this house of cards for a little while longer with these gimmicks but the pain soon will be too much for most to bear......so then they will scream fo more government intervention - more government control.......What do you want to do?
