It's ridiculous. I'm a Northern Ireland fan and similarly we are only getting around 16% of tickets for each game. More national fans make for better atmosphere and bigger influx of tourists to host nation. A lot of third parties will be making a lot of money from ordinary fans. I was reading that England & Wales fans will get just 6000 tickets each yet around 100,000 are expected to travel over for it! Crazy!

Thousands of Irishmen, Catholic & Protestant, with a full spectrum of political views, fought & died together, side by side; and they are remembered together with those poppies. This is a cynical attempt to politicise the poppy just as others, some pro-poppy, some anti-poppy, try to politicise it for their own agendas. The poppy is not about celebrating victory or celebrating Britishness... it's about remembering the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of ordinary people.
