Why single out elderly drivers? I've been driving for over 50 years and can drive more sensibly than most of you whipper-snappers ever thought to. My relexes might not be as fast, but sensible driving compensates for that.

My wife was raised in the
Oelwein area and our wedding reception was at the Sportsmans in '64. Herr parents and the Pirillo's had been neighbors at one time so we used their facility for the reception. Sorry to see it gone.

IMO this is a good law except it needs a qualification clause. A firearm is a tool and like any tool misuse is minimized when users are knowledgeable and qualified to use said firearm. A handgun in particular requires a good deal of familiarization and shooting before use by the new user. The new law doesn't reuire such a qualification and it should.
