Wow, this woman ruined her life to have sex with a kid? She'll never work again in the field she's spent years training for, she forever be labeled as a sex offender, you just have to wonder, what underlying problem made having sex with a kid seem like a good idea?
Lady. Get some meds. Please.
They don't say "karma's a b*tch" for nothing. While I understand that this whole situation is a series of one bad decision after another and don't condone any of it, I do have to wonder about this girl and her mother. I find it incredibly tacky that she is on TV especially in the face of the "vigilante justice" her mother and brother had a part in. Furthermore, didn't she think that her true colors would be called out in such a public forum if she were not completely innocent in the whole thing?
I think kids have enough to be insecure about; grammar and spelling is hard enough to master on it's own, especially if they have even the slightest learning disability. And what if English is their second language? You're not going to gather that information from a username. I don't feel that it's our place as adults to berate them for bad grammar, maybe they struggle with it? In my opinion it's no better than attacking them for the way they look. I think they get enough of that by their peers. Being berated by an adult would sting a little more than getting a ribbing from your peers, I would think. I just feel that if we aren't in a position to help them, for example a chance meeting on a public forum, then we should not pass judgement on them without knowing anything about them.
Yeah I agree, it's bad enough that the kids have to be fighting with each other but to be belittled by the adults is just disgusting.
Congratulations, you've mastered the art of sarcasm. A+
You totally missed my point here. What I find most disturbing in this forum is the adults berating the kids over their spelling and grammar and behaving no better than the kids.
And what are you doing to help them out of that rut besides cutting them down and belittling them? You don't know their situation at home, you don't know their support system or lack thereof. I'm not making excuses for these kids but you don't need to exacerbate bullying by adding to it. I see my son and his friends and how they speak to each other. These are bright, intelligent kids but I can't understand half of their texts and that is THEIR prerogative as long as they can pull it together for school so don't lump everyone into the ignorance column just yet. If there is a problem with the education system then attack the school, not the child.
How would you like it if someone told your child they were "set up to fail?" How about a whole harping gaggle of self-righteous adults telling your child they have no place in society based upon the way he / she speaks at 13 years old?
