Congrats to Ginger Zee! I knew she wouldn't last long in this town. I'm sure she worked VERY hard to achieve this; good for her. As for Terri Deboer.....*rolls eyes*....she's like Grand Rapids version of Kathie Lee. And that's NOT a compliment.

My boyfriend once did some contract work at Beltline Bar and had to go into the kitchen. He said it was so disgusting that he will never, ever eat there. He said it was the worst kitchen he's ever seen.

Look, people, the weather forecasters determine these watches/warnings based on the National Weather Service. THEY are the ones who issue them, not the local meteorologists! The news team is merely passing along the information. Although it does irritate me when they get almost panicky, I would rather be safe than sorry. Maybe it will slow some maniac driver down out there (although I doubt it)

Something is very fishy about the Ada woman hiding behind her husband. She failed a polygraph? Hmm. Did you see the reaction of the female detective when WOOD asked her if they had possibly been at the home of a person who knew more than they were saying? She just smiled and said something like "it's possible".

This woman needs to fess up if she knows something. It is the right thing to do. There is a child out there who was murdered and has never had a proper burial. To anyone out there who knows something about this case, but won't talk......karma will exact its own kind of revenge on you. It's already happened to the prime suspect. But there are others out there who know where her body is and are too worried about themselves to bring peace to a family. How sad.

The meteorologists base their forecasts on the National Weather Service. The NWS is the organization that issues the watches, warnings, etc. Personally, I would rather have them be safe rather than sorry. You know darn well that if they skimmed over the forecast and didn't issue the proper warnings, people would have accidents and then blame the weather team for not preparing people enough for conditions.

Who cares, really? It's Christmas eve, and all that matters is that there are organizations out there who are willing to feed the homeless. THAT is what's important, not this stupid debating about what religious organizations provide the most bang for the buck.

:) No need to get angry.....I'm not trying to nag people, I'm merely stating what you already know. That you are a slave to cigarettes. You are an addict. I'm not condemning you for it....I was too!

And for the record, I used to say the same thing...."there is NOTHING worse than an ex-smoker!" Maybe it's b/c we can relate to people who currently smoke and we want them to know that life is much easier, healthier, and LESS EXPENSIVE as a non-smoker.

This was the first part of my response. I had to write it in two parts because my post was too long to fit in one answer. The second part of my answer starts, "My point being...."

Still, you have a point. I guess it's not entirely relevant. I just figured a lot of smokers who are angry about this law will be reading this article and I wanted to share my experience. Smokers will never win anymore. Smoking being a socially acceptable thing is in the past. It's just so much easier to quit!
