I know Dr. Briskey would never debark a puppy let alone 13 of them. I have brought in 2 dogs at the same time for cleanings and spays and he usually has several other people on those days. There is no way he would be able to debark 13 dogs in one day unless he only took those dogs and no other clients, which I have never seen or heard of him doing. But of course i can't say for sure because i wasn't there when these dogs were done. I am just going by how I have seen him work. I have been there A LOT. And you are correct, there is no way he could of done that many dogs and have anywhere to keep them as he gave the pre-op meds and post op waking period. Not in his waiting area.

I have never seen any more then 5 clients waiting when I have been there, or more then 3 animals having surgery done. I once saw some folks that had 3 of their cats spayed that were recovering when I had gotten there.

People reading this stupid biased article and report are not getting the whole story because they only showed a few minutes of their interview with him. When they asked him if it was ok to leave that dog laying there recovering, they cut him off! And in the article they said all he said was "I don't know".. I know darn well he said more then that. he probably said he didn't know where the owner took off to. Maybe the owner did not want to be on camera!!

I was there once when he had just done ears on a Dobie and the owner was not there. he put him in a HUGE crate to recover and the owner was on there way to get the dog. He normally doesn't allow people to drop off their pets but once in awhile I am sure he does, especially with long time clients.

People also don't realize that without vets like Bill there would be nobody to care for farm animals! These big time vets do not care for farm animals. It is very difficult to find farm vets any more because so many vets are in fancy clinics and making big bucks. He doesn't need to make big bucks, it's just him and he owns his home outright and probably has for 40 years..lol People also don't realize he is 91 years old and has more training and experience then the vets at the fancy pricey clinics. He will never retire, this is his life!!

oh don't even get me started on peta!!! If it was up to them there would be no pets, and no farm animals and nothing but grass for us humans to eat! My favorite web site is http://www.petakillsanimals.com/ people just have no clue about the truth, nor do they want to know.

And as far as komo, I will never watch their news again! After seeing this report I am disgusted by how they handled it and how they only showed bits and pieces if the video. They cut so much out! I don't even get why this made news. Vets are investigated ALL the time!! People will complain about the most ridiculous stuff.

Have you noticed how people have now quit posting on here other then his clients? They just cannot argue against all of us who know him personally, they can't win! Dr Briskey will be fine through this and he will never lose his right to practice because the allegations will be proved unfounded. The twig issue, if I am not mistaken that happened several years ago. And as far as being dirty and re-using dirty instruments, well That is just laughable!

Well time for me to go, I need to call Bill and make appointments for one of my yorkies and my chubby chihuahua to have their teeth done..
Have a wonderful day, and thank you for standing behind him with the rest of us..

Actual cost to debark a dog is more like $400.00+ and there are 2 ways to do it but either way the vocal cords can grow back. I once asked my old vet about having it done with a problem rescue dog nobody wanted because of his excessive barking. That was about 8 years ago and it was 400.00! The dogs that were debarked in this situation were NOT puppies, they were adult dogs. There are several breeders in that area that breed large breeds. One is a rott breeder, the other is a german shepherd breeder. Both are very loud barkers. While I do not agree with debarking I can imagine neighbors complaining was the reason for having it done. That area is all farm area but people move into those area's and expect to have complete silence and just complain about everything. However, i am only guessing since i don't actually know the breeder but I have been in there when her pups have come in for exams before being sent to their new homes. Now days people tend to call all breeders puppy mills. They throw that term around all the time.

No. He lives (and works) on a farm in a big old house way back from the road. He is South of downtown Orting.

People also don't realize that most animal medications used are used on other animals, same with human medications. Dogs are given the same medications people are given. Pin worm de-wormer used for humans is given to dogs and cats for roundworms and hookworms as well as other worms. The other vet i used gave my cocker tramadol for pain, this is a medication given to humans for pain. Everything is adjusted for your pets of course.

Well I am just saying he wouldn't microchip my dogs when i asked him to and he then showed me a medical report about them causing tumors. Cropping ears and de-barking don't cause cancer. I don't agree with modifying any dogs or cats unless medically needed , but it is still legal in this country. May you should jump on board with many of us who want to follow in the steps of the UK and make it illegal to dock, crop, etc. There is a good way to put a stop to it. But as long as the AKC requires it in certain breeds it WILL continue, unfortunately.

LMAO It is funny how when people cannot come up with anything worth saying they always take that road. Accusing posters of being the accused. Dr. Briskey Doesn't even know how to use a computer let alone own one.. And I am sure way to busy with clients to sit on here and defend himself.

Whats so wrong with pets recovering in a loving environment with their owners holding them? I think that is much better then the pet being put in a cold metal cage to wake up alone. When they start to wake it is very scary for the animal and it is much better for the animal to be waking in the arms or next to the people who love them. If there is any problem he is right there. And he does check on our babies and does not allow you to leave until they are completely awake and doing well. I LOVE that I can hold my babies after a procedure.
