I know the feeling. I've been there many times. BlogChoker is right ... make sure you highlight it, copy it and post ... if it doesn't go through you still have a copy saved in your computer's clipboard.

I had to do that posting the response to you above.

It could be the system, it could be your browser or it could be your computer. Sometimes it takes a few minutes. Sometimes the community may report your posts enough times that it makes your comment invisible. Or you could have triggered one of our many content filters.

It could be any number of things.

Please remember, posting on SalisburyPost.com is a privilege, not a right. According to our terms of service, we reserve the right to allow or disallow comments as we see fit.

Generally we allow posting on every story. 99% of the time if your comment doesn't show up, you've more than likely hit one of those triggers or either the system or your computer are having an updating issue.

We're working on a brand new system that we'll be rolling out in the next few weeks that should alleviate many of the system problems that we are having using IntenseDebate.com as our commenting engine. We'll post more details on this system as it comes available. We hope to have it up and running by mid to late July.

Don't know -- this was what was on the AP wire.

Their official website is https://www.naca.com/index_main.jsp

Are you talking about email replies from IntenseDebate stating that you've gotten a reply on a posted comment?

If you are, i could be one of several different things. Your email provider could have labeled those messages as spam and weeded it out before it got to you since you get them so frequently.

That's not a feature we can control from the admin panel. That's controlled on a per user basis by the user. What I suggest is that you turn it off, save it, then come back a few minutes later, turn it on, and see what happens then. Sometimes settings don't get saved if your connection (or a connection) times out when saving data to a database. Make sure the email domain / address is whitelisted.

We are working on a better solution presently, but I don't have anything official to announce just yet. IntenseDebate has given us a great deal of functionality that we wouldn't have had otherwise.

Thanks!

Although we can't get to every story, we try to cover as much as we can.

"Sadly, the same company that owns the IT also owns the Salisbury (com)Post. "

This is incorrect. The Independent Tribune is owned by Media General. The Salisbury Post is owned by Evening Post Publishing.

The police did a fantastic job of controlling the situation and making sure it ended without incident.

We have video of the incident that we are working on now. Should be up by 5:00 pm.

I think I would have preferred this draft than the one we actually got. I don't think we could have drafted the players in the rounds you projected, though.

Agreed -- he reminds me of Brayton as well ... good or bad. Brayton was a first rounder, but never has played like it.
