This kid is going to feel the wrath of a community that is beyond fed up with this behavior. I say give him the max sentence, then double it. Hopefully it will send a message.

Good one. I like to live in a reality where I am not afraid to open the door for someone even if I'm not expecting visitors. I know that sounds frightening, but try to imagine choosing not to be afraid.

It's called a joke. Lighten up and try jumpstarting a sense of humor.

It's hard to say whether Gibbs was a sick psychopath before or after he enlisted. Either way these are the actions of a dangerous person, regardless if he's in the Afghan society or our very own. At this point I'd rather see more being done about the mental health of Veterans. It's getting ridiculous.

Most people who make statements painting a large group of people based on their own experience with the minority, oh wait crap I'm doing it right now! And all people who follow up their statements with "Any questions?" have to be major douches...

Yeah this sucks. You're right that it's going to get more attention coming out of Bellevue. You're also right that that's not going to be a popular opinion. Though I think the attention it brings is sometimes healing for the family in hopes that the hype could lead to preventing the death of another kid on a similar path. Also, getting the word out of a harsh penalty might lead others to stop dealing.

I just hope now that they claim to have abandoned the War On Drugs they will start one hell of a battle on this certain drug. Oxy's and other painkillers are leading kids to serious addiction which opens up the prospect of heroin. It's rampant. I mean does anybody not know at least somebody effected by this? It's an epidemic that needs to be handled. If everybody wakes up tomorrow thinking their kid could be next, well then maybe people will open their goddamn eyes and start to do something about it. Sorry, but all this ****es me off and it just seems like young lives are being wasted year after year without serious action.

It's really simple man. People support the police when they do good work (which is most of the time). They criticize police when they do bad work (which happens some times). Is the concept of judging police, or anybody for that matter, based on their actions hard to comprehend?

"Those guys" don't criticize the cops every time they have to shoot someone. Hence the lack of a post from them on this issue. "Those guys" usually criticize the cops when they kill someone who didn't deserve to die. In this instance that's not the case and it's why you're not seeing people upset with the cops. It's not that complicated, but it's not as simple as you seem to be either.
