My dog barks at the UPS truck, the mail truck, when someone opens and shuts the front door, when someone knocks on the door, when there is a squirrel in our yard, when someone walks by on the bike path near our house. So NO MORE deliveries, no more squirrels, and no more people or dogs on the bike path EVER!!! (Snark)

Geez, people find the smallest things to complain about! Go find a hobby or get a friggin' JOB!

Actually, MMJ has done more to decrease heroin addiction and narcotic addiction. http://www.newsweek.com/states-medical-marijuana-...
Chronic pain is a real problem for people. And while narcotics lead to heroin addiction, cutting back on the prescriptions also leads to street drugs. I say start out with mmj, make it legal all across the country and voila, you will see a precipitous drop in painkiller deaths.

Wanna bet that he has been targeted for a witch hunt because he practices integrative/alternative/complementary medicine? He has had a great reputation around Boulder for years. He is not known to be a pill pusher. Not only that, but even if he sloppily prescribed Oxycodone on occasion, the only money he made was from the office visits. More than likely he thought he was helping someone live with his pain. Probably the undercover detective was trying to get out of even having an appointment so he could set him up. Not like Dr. Eckstein is running a pill mill. Nice to know that our taxpayer dollars are being used wisely to investigate true crime - NOT!!!!!

And I have no personal beef with Naropa, other than finding most of their students and graduates to be exceedingly whiny, entitled and annoying.

They believed the line of bull this sociopath was selling and exposed their students to him.

Um, no. Naropa definitely is negligent here (and so arrogant) and justice needs to be served. I really hate the way "forgiveness" is used here, as if the Sterns going after this sociopath and this pseudo university is somehow "not spiritual" and they should just let it go. That is the biggest misunderstanding of "forgiveness" I have ever heard. I think the Sterns are using their pain to educate others about the dangers of indoctrination into cults or interactions with sociopaths and I think that is something that needs to be done. Especially here in Boulder. All the New Age pseudo Buddhist "forgiveness" fluff only enables abusers, sociopaths and negligent behavior.

"Boulder probably does have a large number of adults and children whose behavioral characteristics would place them somewhere on the Autism spectrum. I lived in Silicon Valley in the early 90's and found the same to be true there. An area that draws large numbers of people in academic, scientific, and technical pursuits is probably always over-representative of Autism spectrum "disorders". And when those people have children, their children are probably more disposed to such "disorders" , whether they're vaccinated or not."

Sounds exactly like you are suggesting that most scientists are on the spectrum. Sounds like bashing to me. Like climate scientists should be ignored because they are all "crazy" or on the spectrum. That is exactly what you are inferring.

Also, if you want to keep your children healthier, stop feeding them sugar, gluten, and processed foods, feed them more organic fresh fruits and vegetables and let them play outdoors more and less on the computer/TV. I would surmise that the more vulnerable children in this population whether vaccinated or not, are the ones who eat crap because their parents know nothing about nutrition and let their kids eat fruit loops and poptarts in front of the TV, etc.

So another reason to bash science and scientists is that they exist on the autism spectrum? Seriously?
