She's been here almost 38 years, and still hasn't learned English? It really doesn't sound like she wants to assimilate to our society so I see no reason not to deport her. She has had plenty of chances to apply for citizenship.

Tube worms around the thermal vents were a new life form not previously discovered until the 1970s. I'm not a Biologist so the dicovery of arsenic tolorant microbes doesn't get my gears going. Now if they could find a microbe that would be able to survive in highly radioactive enviroments like Mars, or the Jovian Moons... now that would be something.

Yes as a matter of fact I've bought into Space Technoligies Corp. ( SpaceX ). I have done some work for SETI, and as a hobby I've built my own radio Telescope... Currently listening to the 1.2 - 1.4 GHZ band. Robots rule! I get to play with some at work, as most of my work involves remote sensing and material detection. The company I work for has done feasibility studies to see just how inexpensively a rover could be built. The biggest expense is not buiilding the rover, but getting it to the surface in one piece. Then you have to contend with high amounts of radiation destroying the electronics which can be shielded by a solar panel array on top of the body... Telcoms, and what ever equipment for testing, and experiments... it goes on and on, but definitely can be done without the help of the government ( Look what Virgin Atlantic / Paul Allen consortium have accomplished. )__ Nope... I haven't found anything on Mars, but I'm willing to go look.__ SETI is not looking at Mars.

What a bunch of hype.. I've heard about this "Amazing" relevation for 3 days now, and come to find out it's just some bacteria they found in a lake here on earth that can withstand the effects of Arsenic. What a bunch of CR@p!
This is NASAs way of ginning up support for funding. Remember the Bacteria fossils NASA found in the Martian Meteorite a fews years ago that turned out to be embarassing bubbles?
Don't get me wrong I'm all for exploration of space, but a government run organization is just asking for failure. I am a member of SETI and would like to see the discovery of life outside our planet before I die. We need a privatized effort for the exploration of space... not a government monopoly.

2/3rds of those polled which amounted to just over 26 percent of the total active duty roster. No front line troops were polled, and none of us Nat. Guard were polled. A one sided and controlled pole at best.

PDT... Unless you have been there don't call "BS" on something you know nothing about it makes you look like an idiot.
As for someone shouting HOMOPHOBE because they don't subscribe to the homosexual agenda is getting so old... try coming up with an argument that makes sense. The thing about catchphrases is that they get old very quickly... 'Know what I'm sayin?"
