I'm not concerned about the students' social lives either. But, I am concerned about their mental state when they are transferred to schools where they don't know anyone! My daughter had to change schools in the 9th grade and didn't know anyone. It took her a long time to be accepted, especially since she wasn't a sports jock! or a homecoming queen!
I hope everyone attends these 2 meetings to voice their disapproval!! I also hope that just as many people turn out for the next election of these school board members. VOTE EVERY ONE OF THEM OUT OF OFFICE if they make these proposed changes. I don't have a child in school, but I'm just as concerned as every other parent. Attend these meetings and voice your disapproval!

Nobody's safe anywhere! I feel compassion for this lady. Hope they find the culprits! However, I find that this lady wasn't "elderly" in my opinion. I wish the Post would not put adjectives in the victim's age. I'm hate the day when I become a victim and the Post's headlines read, "Elderly grandmother robbed but still manages to beat the crap out of her attackers!" Give me a break. I'm 62, but not elderly yet. I'm still able to walk unassisted.
Makes me wonder how much money this Ty Cobb is worth, in order to get a phone call from Paul Fisher. Somehow or another, I don't think Paul would give me the time of day for my small payroll deposits.
I wish Thelma all the best!! She's always been a hard worker. I remember her from Christo's here in Salisbury. I will certainly be there to give her new restaurant a try and I hope her business is so great that she has to move to larger facilities. In fact, if she needs part-time help at night or on weekends, I'm in the market for a second job!
Sorry, but this was not vandalism to the Mt. Ulla post office. I saw the damage and it was caused by a large mail truck coming too close to the building. Large box type truck scraped the edge of the roof causing damage to the gutter and corner of building. Vandalism would have happened closer to the ground.
