He was 16 when it took place. At the age of 16 they can be tried as adults. It's not like he was playing with a buddy and "accidently" knocked him/her down. IT WAS A SEXUAL CRIME THAT LED UP TO HER DEATH!!!! If he can think and act as a "adult", he can surely be tried as one!!!

Well in my opinion he has been allowed to live an additional 20 months longer than he should have.

I cannot even begin to imagine what this family has gone through. My prayers are with them.

This makes it sound as tho the only reason they continued with the pregancy is because they thought they were having a baby without Downs.

So if the results would have been that the child had Downs would they then have not continued on with the pregnancy? Would they have aborted?

I cannot believe how narrow minded some people are!! It is still your baby, you should be able to love that baby regardless of ANY imperfections!

If he is that bad of a shot then his gun needs to be taken away!! I agree that the dog should not have been allowed out to bite or attack someone, but come on, seven shots!!!
