you're basically saying "he's only a little bit of a bigot".
that's not real comfort.
Obama had a huge pool or reputable and moral religious figures to choose from. Instead he chose an anti-gay bigot that likens being gay to pedophilia and polygamy. That says it all.

ha. me too. David Plouff sent me an email asking (again) for money.
I replied back voicing my anger over the Warren choice.
Received a canned response back.
So I canceled my subscription to his email list. No more $ for Obama when he insults his past supporters like that.

there wont be any. Barack Obama has shown he has no real interest in advancing GBL rights. He just wanted our votes.

Definitely. PE Obama had a huge pool of candidates to chose from. The choice he did make, to allow an anti-gay bigot speak during his inauguration, is very telling of the kind of President he will be. It looks like he will be weak willed, and pander in an attempt to gain some political good-will. That's not the kind of person I campaigned for. I wish I knew then what I do now.

I was wondering that myself. Seems like Kimi is hitting all of the Transition teams talking-points on the issue. Was she tasked with camping these forums to deflect the outrage?

shocked. angry. betrayed.

I gave big bux to get Obama into office, did campaigning and GOTV activities. For what? To give another platform to religious bigots? Obama's promise of Change seems to be nothing more than a campaign slogan.

re: "what do you think is the best approach to winning over the support of the majority? "

flawed logic.
Equal protection/rights is not something is to be subjected to a popularity contest.

He's the president elect.
He can "get away" with inviting whoever he wants to his own inauguration.
The decision to invite Rick Warren was his. He wasn't forced to do it. He did it either for purely political gain, or because of shared belief. Either way, its a despicable decision.
