I am a gun owner and long before this was a issue I was following some very Basic rules.. My guns all have trigger locks on them and they are ALL then locked in a gun safe. If a weapon is out it is in my hands and the safe is relocked. All of my ammo is stored in a seperate locker with a differently keyed lock. The keys to them are always with me, not hanging up somewhere. Regardless of which side you are lined up on there are very simple measures to take and all "accidental" shootings are 100% avoidable always. If you own them then stand up and be responsible for them and YOUR actions. Taking guns away is not the answer and impossible to achieve. Hammering idiots who are irresponsible with felony charges AND convictions is needed. The excuse that it was an accident has long been worn out. An accident is a series of events that came together with out people being aware. These are not accidents. The outcome is predictable every single time.

And how much will she spend traveling the state to convince us that this increase is needed??? She can start by saving the money needed to travel the state at our expense

Back and forth it goes.. There is simply no statisitcal evidence that drinking will increase. The ploy of using a woman who has lost a child is sad at best. This presumably happened under the current system, proof that kids will obtain alcohol regardless of the laws as long as there are dumbass adults that provide it. I am sorry for her loss but this has no bearing on 1183. Yes on 1183 and remove the state from being a retailer. Let the professionals handle it. There will be ample profit for all involved.

Two problems... The people they murdered were not illegal and second, they took it upon themselves to end two lives in pursuit of funding their criminal activity. These were not illegals crossing the boarder, this was a home invasion in which a nine year old was murdered. I find it difficult to see how anyone can rationalize cold blooded murder..
