A back street, year one lawyer could get this thrown out of court..so why hold him for 4 days under arrest, why allow a lynch mob to gather outside the barracks..I certifiably hold little support for SF, but watching what is going on here within the PSNI and what is being said by Robinson, Nesbit, Ford etc its clear SF are winning hands down

They will make political gain out of this hypocritical, unprofessional old grudge style way of dealing with things. I only fear that the same lynch mob that sat outside the PSNI barracks will sit outside stormont when SF become the party of the first minister, there is trouble ahead and rather than address it properly the forces of the state and politicians are only simply boiling up the pot.

ok .. relax..... if he done it well in good .. put him if front of a jury and let him be convicted, but how many should also stand before him with blood on their hands..there is a contradiction here , especially were the RUC are concerned.. there is better people than him that stood in the Dail with more blood on their hands..Éamon de Valera..for a start.... but we need to look forward not back

in fairness mike, i am starting to get angry on this one..... this is making a pure c**t out of the peace process.. there is saints and sinners strewn all over it, as there is in any peace process across the globe.. to pick on this man , or his party over this is nothing more than political.... political self interest... it will back fire and Adams will come out like a saint....it's like Thatcher and the hunger strikers.. god forbid ?

for once we agree...I like the 'passionate, patriotic people on this site' bit.. I am 50 coming up and I am passionate about life, we dont need this. the grief, the intimidation, the violence, the murder...I lived every day of my life until my late 30s in North Belfast, every day of the troubles in and out.... I am strong and constructive in my opinion, but these days I look at reality, no ifs , no buts no patriotic mumble jumble ... I look at my table and the bread upon it .. I then look at what I want for my children.. I do not care for patriotism.. it doesn't pay my bills
