You have an appropriate name - period. You have the unmitigated gall to use the words "bigot" and "vermin" in your post? How ignorant can you be - wait, don't answer that. You are so ignorant that you cannot even analyze this issue within any logical realm. You simply are spewing forth hate and that is wrong - any way you turn it, cut it or spin it - what you are doing is wrong!

I agree Parker. Ms. Sherrod's story is one to be admired. Unfortunately, Breitbart has missed the point of his own post!

Wildwood, you have not been keeping up with the happenings or the facts very well.

The meeting was a regional one and Ben Jealous was not present.
The real NAACP tape was edited, not by the NAACP, but by Breitbart.
Ms. Sherrod was told by someone that something was coming, but she was not told what it was.
USDA Secretary Vilsac acknowledged an email had been sent which he and the Undersecretary (Ms. Sherrod's manager) should have received, but they did not due to some error in the email addresses.
Breitbart was NOT setup - just the opposite - he set up Ms. Sherrod and smeared her knowing his post & video would go viral.
The back story, Wildwood, is that it all goes to intent - Breitbart's intent when he posted the video and wrote about it, his intent when he partnered with FOX News making this totally incorrect information go viral and his intent when he agreed to be interviewed on CNN and ABC news showing he could not come up with any logical explanation as to why anyone should remotely believe that he could possibly be a credible so called journalist.

The attendees at the regional NAACP nodded their heads and a few people said something like Uh huh, acknowledging that they had experienced similar things that Ms. Sherrod had experienced.

The hate and bigotry that Breitbart and his followers spew forth on this site, the other Breitbart sites, similar right wing nut blogs and on FOX News is despicable. Nothing positive comes from any of this - only more hate and bigotry surfaces. It is time that all of you people grow up and decide you want to have an open, honest and fair discussion about race and ethnic issues in our country. Then, and only then will all people in our country gain understanding into each others' lives and culture and believe that we all will be better for it.

Just stop the hate!

Delta is correct. Breitbart should apologize to Ms. Sherrod for an obvious smear based on his own ignorance. Lincoln, do you know the history of the NAACP, why the organization was started, why there was a need for such an organization? In addition to black and white Ms. Sherrod also included Hispanics in her talk at the NAACP regional meeting (check the full video - it's there). We are NOT in a post racial society and everyone knows it. Our country is still very immature in the way we have not had a logical and reasonable national conversation about race and ethnicity. This is a highly charged emotional issue. As a country we are making progress, but it is coming slowly. Breitbart's post of the partial video clip and his lack of providing any logical explanation as to why he did it shows his ignorance and actually exposes his bigotry. It was a smear against Ms. Sherrod, period. He knew how quickly it would become viral and that a knee jerk reaction to it would happen, especially because the "race subject" has been a hot topic in the news of late with regard to the Tea Party movement.

Nothing is going to stop Breitbart from posting his ignorance - not a lawsuit or people like me writing a comment to a post or replies to a post. He just didn't count on media outlets practicing good journalism to quickly show his motivation for the post. By the way, I one of the "white" people.

Thank you Delta for your post!

I am appalled and sickened by your unethical attempt to stir up a very emotional topic - racism. How stupid do you think people are? The motivation behind the original posting of only a small clip of the full video demonstrates what an ignorant, bigot you and your blog(s) cohorts are. Everyone had a knee-jerk reaction to your original post which, of course, was what you wanted to achieve. I watched your interview on CNN last night and the one this morning on GMA - you cannot even make a logical point in the simplest of debates on this issue - not even an elementary point as to why you posted a partial clip of a video and now "Riehl" has tried to "analyze" Ms. Sherrod's psyche claiming she is racist and marxist? Just stop it!

The absolute best response to your ignorance was Rachel Maddow's broadcast on MSNBC last night. Read the transcript - several times. There is REAL logic in Maddow's response and guess what? The majority of people believe the same way she does!

You have, quite simply, have given a wake up call to the Democratic base, centrist Democrats and Independents to shake off any apathetic attitude they may have acquired during the difficult economic time we are going through as a country and realize it's time to start shaking up the conversation about the real motivation of the Tea Partiers and you right wing nuts! Applause!!!
