Penilaian 'bebas' secara objektif akan pastinya menunjukkan Abg Mat memang mempunyai merit yg sangat tinggi dari sudut perjuangan PAS sbg parti politik. Saya baru menjadi ahli PAS pd 2000, namun telah kenal & rasa kagum dgn keberanian Mohd Sabu lama sebelum itu lagi. Masa itu, sebut PAS, hanya nama2 TG Haji Hadi, TG Nik Aziz, Mat Sabu, & segelintir nama lain sahaja yg keluar difikiran secara automatik.

Penilaian bersifat antithesis terhadap Abg Mat sering gagal menjatuhkan kredibiliti @ persepsi majoriti massa terhadap beliau. Taktik momokan negatif berulang2 & keterlaluan terhadap beliau mungkin mendatangkan rasa 'mual' dikalangan perwakilan. Akibatnya, 'backlash' kpd undi terhadap lawan beliau.

Namun, jika Tuan Ibrahim TM yg bertanding 1-1 dgn Abg Mat, agak sukar juga rasanya perwakilan 'fence-sitters' menentukan undi mereka tempohari. Mengapa? TITM selain berwibawa, dilihat lebih 'centris' & sering bertindak sbg 'penengah' dlm beberapa isu bersifat 'konflik' wpun dianggap berada dalam kem yg kurang selesa dgn Abg Mat.

Kesimpulan saya, di mana pun posisi kecenderungan pandangan pendekatan politik seseorang pemimpin @ ahli PAS itu, prinsip 'pertengahan' @ 'wasatiyah' dlm perbezaan pandangan itu lebih baik & lbh boleh diterima. 'Keterlaluan' perlu dielakkan kerana ianya lambang "arrogansi" @ "egoistik" menyebabkan akhirnya idea (yg mungkin baik) yg dibawa secara begini akan turut ditolak begitu sahaja oleh massa yg rata2nya 'mual' dgn sikap sebegini.

anyway, PAS delegates have shown that they are indeed far more SOPHISTICATED & smarter than those UMNO delegates ....
