By the way my trip got much better after this experience. We really enjoyed Vietnam and the Vietnamese people were very kind to us.

Jay, I am glad you found inspiration in this article. I am very touched by your cultural leader. He is a role model for me.

Five or six? That's right around the corner. She's about to turn 4 months old! Thanks a lot. Daddy Basim is going to have to take you up on that himself. You gotta teach me how to do the Kid'n'Play. I never got past that in grade school.

Vic, as soon as I decided to step foot out of America I got swooped up by an engineering force that sends people around the world to do high tech IT installations and since then I have settled in Brunei. Then I got married and now I've been in Brunei and who knew this country -- whose name I initially thought referred to a place in Africa -- would bear my wife and children and 3 years of my life. Each turn of the road we take in life affects us for the rest of our lives, it seems. I am very happy here but miss America and need to get back soon. We all cling to our younger days and values. I still play Xbox when I can steal away and get obsessed with child-like things, computers, soccer, etc. I'm consulting for Shell as my client in Brunei.
