What do you think you bigotted clot? Maybe that will clear things up for you.
Well done lads- bout time we had another tournament appearance
I agree with you and Georgie Best. He was an advocate for an All Ireland team - the greatest player never to play in a World Cup. With the size of the population, it would make sense to have a central structure which would be better resourced to identify and nuture talent. God knows the Irish league needs a kick up the backside - more people might actually start attending their matches in an All Ireland scenario - that would be a great catalyst for more money in the game and retaining more talent here.
Absolutely LD! You'll be the first to advocate Gaelic games then, which are non-sectarian, hugely entertaining and inclusive of all. I understand that people are rather good at it down your part of the world as well. First Minister and DFM material should be priveleged to attend all sports events - including significant GAA matches - such as the forthcoming All Ireland Final in Dublin. It is perhaps a long way off, but inevitable in the long run.
The only other group of far right lunatics I can think of within the UK and Ireland who treat a national flag like this are right wing pro Hamas militant Islamists. If anything, it is uniquely unBritish behaviour on these isles. If the bonfires are culturally and symbolically important, have them under safe conditions, but why burn the Irish flag and make such a show of it? Heres one; people in the free state don't give a crap. It makes the OO look bigoted, antequated, threatening and agressive - all around the world, and it is of course, all completely uncecessary. Shurely shome mishtake. The reality is that the OO are a weak and marginalised group in a small corner of Ireland, whose defining characterisitc is an anti Catholic agenda; again unique within the UK. A few of us are aware of a friendlier more inclusive side to Orangism, but its people on the ground within working/under class communities who need to start taking responsibility and stop behaving like utter clots, burning a flag that is held in such high regard by millions of people around the world. Small wonder tourism is dead on its ****. Thanks Billy!
Do you actually pay any taxes? What sort of a comtemptable rationale is that? The cretins who as supposed community leaders, organise and light the bonfires on the doorsteps of their own unfortunate community should be left to extinguish and clean up their own filthy, sordid, pointless mess.

Hey Lindy.... wait till ye hear this one...
"This thread should have been about the news storey above - instead its about how evil are the RUC". For RUC read Priests and revert back to one of the bomber priest threads.. I have empathy with your frustration and, experiences and perspective, and would be grateful for the courtesy of yours.
You're right Kev - people should have more mutual respect for self determination - its a fundamental human right and a provision of the GFA. Northen Ireland never existed as a distinct political and geographical entity and never occupied the British or Irish collective psyche until partition actually happened - and that was dreamed up in Westminster!. It was deemed politically expediant to ensure Ulster Unionists power by the Gov't of the day, which has turned out a disaster. The last four words of your post... The supremism of a Unionist majority has gradually eroded since Craigavon. Its naive to think other wise and the only way to prevent that trend from continuing is for the Unionist population to start breeding like nationalists. Personally I think we should all start breeding together and forget about nationalities because it would work out better for the gene pool. Some of those free prebs north of lough neagh are headed for darwin award territory.
Jim you shouldn't make posts comin in from the pub after a few.
