yep Matt......as I always say.....the enemy is ignorance. And ignorance feeds misinformation, prejudice and finally bigotry. I grew up in a time when homosexuality was consdiered a crime and mental health problem.

My ignorance and the ignorance of those around me created 22 years of unnecessary suffering. What I did to myself and others around me was well intentioned but that certainly didn't make it right.

I devoted a chapter of my autobiography on the my 6 months in Australia's first live in ex-gay programs. It reveals the terrible results of well intentioned ignorance.
