I'm not asking for a pat.... Obviously that is what the PD is looking for. I am just looking for some truth to be told. When an organization acts like they are being soooooooooooooooo noble in what they are doing and they might use their speed camera money to give back to the community, they fail to point out where the money truly comes from. If you read the above statement, you would understand exactly what I am saying.

You are right, I don't have a life or spend over 90 hours per week running a business. They had a donut eater call businesses like mine, in which I wrote a check to this campaign. Unfortunately, like I said.... THEY FAIL TO POINT OUT THAT IT WAS LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT HELPED WITH THIS CAMPAIGN! The definition of "raising the money" is - call local businesses and have them give money to something, in which they donate tax payer money via hourly wage to have a uniform take them shopping. If I didn't think the program was viable, I would not donate. However, it would be the equivalent of someone who is perfectly capable of working, sitting at home, collecting welfare, then telling everyone how hard they work after they go file the papers to get their weekly paycheck and food stamps. I think a lot of people underestimate how much the small businesses in this community help keep it rolling and that is sad.

As much as the police department would like to take credit, they fail to point out that business owners donated all the money that was spent. In the future, I will adopt a kid to take shopping myself, since they just want to take all the PR credit for what they are NOT DOING!

The seatbelt thing is totally off topic, but when someone gets in my car, it does not start rolling until everyone has their seatbelts on. Again, this is the drivers RESPONSIBILITY, as he is the one RESPONSIBLE for whether the car goes or stays. As this guy has proven through his legal record, he is anything buy responsible. They figure it takes 21 years from birth to teach and learn responsibility. In this decision, they are telling him to start over again and when you learn to be responsible at 25, we will let you make your own decisions again. Unfortunately, he will be 61 and he is now RESPONSIBLE for creating a family without a husband/father figure and it is a decision he can not take back and I don't feel sorry for him a bit!

He has alcohol issue, after substance issue, after alcohol issue. Honestly, THANK YOU COURT for taking him off my streets, because he is bound to kill someone else! You can only slap a hand so many times, before you finally cut it off! I lost a relative because of a drunk driver and have ZERO sympathy for these people and can only celebrate he didn't kill an innocent person!
