I am sorry you didn't do your due diligence before purchasing your house.

I am sorry you did not do your due dilligence upon buying your house. Buyer beware. Also, there have been brutal assaults all over this city, do you not leave your home?

Just like 99.9% of everybody else that will be using it. We can't stop progress because of the .1%. These people are crazy. I will be happy to see you riding your bike through my neighborhood.

I also live in this neighborhood. Why is it the city's is sue if YOU get water in YOUR basement? I also get water in my basement after heavy rains, and keeping thinking, wow I should really pony up for a sump pump. Also, you purchased your house backing up to a city right of way, if you don't have a fence now, why aren't you concerned now? People are ALWAYS walking through there. Do you have a sidewalk in front of your house? I do, and I know if I leave my blinds open, or I am in my front yard then I am subjecting myself to the prowling eyes of society. Get a grip dude.

Yancey has a fenced in yard per the assessors site - I'm not sure exactly what his deal is. Also, the trail is already on google maps! :) So as far as I'm concerned it's already there.

what a terrible story - I am sure there are LOTS of families like this in the area, it might have been more interesting if they had interviewed more than one family.

I think the issue is that Ms. Mostaert doesn't want the trail put there at all, not that she wants it done right. Also, what kind of crime has been increasing in the area in the past few years? I realize that "most hoodlums do [their] stuff at night when people are sleeping" but the point that I was trying to make is that this trail will simply NOT be bringing trouble into the neighborhood. Also, in regards to Hiawatha, the area I was specificially thinking about was off Boyson Rd. Thiher Dr specifically, which has a comparable home value to the homes in this neighborhood. So I am not sure what "lower income families equals more crime" was getting at. Looking at the bigger picture of the CEMAR trail it will end up further down by Coe, but even still. Why are you so convinced that a trail will bring people to this neighborhood when the DIRECT STREETS don't do that now?

Would these dictionaries be better if donated to a more at risk elementary and then required by the teacher to keep said dictionaries in their desks at schoool? Taylor Elementary? Polk Elementary? I am sure there are others.
