A lot of people come down on single moms because they work, but then they'll come down on them harder for being on welfare. I am a single mom and I work my tail off, but at the end of the day my kids know who loves them, who works hard for them to have what they need, and who loves them, but they also know who will be the first one to get them in line if they need it! :)

You know when we were younger, our parents wouldn't put up with anything defiant. My cousin has a 14 year old daughter, and I heard her tell her mother that she would call 911 if she ever touched her, and I said if my kids ever say that to me, they had better have bags packed to leave with whomever comes to help! It's ludicrous the way kids talk to their parents. Now, with all the online predators, if YOU don't know how to use a computer, then your child certainly doesn't need their own! Cell phones, I understand they are good for emergencies, but why do they have unlimited access to the internet, texting, and minutes? They don't need that much freedom. My kids know who the mom is in our house, and you're right they DO need rules, and discipline, I am thankful everyday my parents cared enough about me to check on me, not allow me to hang out with certain kids, and make rules, and give me consequences.

I am fortunate to be healthy, but my question is, what about passengers who travel by wheelchair? There are plenty of people who suffer from paralysis, or DVT, or anything else that makes it necessary for them to be in wheelchairs, so in an emergency they can't "assist themselves". Then why does an airplane make room for passengers with disabilities? This was wrong to deny this person their flight. I bet someone with a screaming baby would be welcome with open arms.

Chemo_kid thanks for also bringing up ovarian cancer! There is no preventitive screening for ovarian cancer, so it's important to know the signs and symptoms. I hope God blesses you, Chemo_kid and every other cancer victim and survivor.

WMU has played some Big Ten schools in the past, as a matter of fact, they've played Michigan for about 4 or 5 straight years before this year. So it's not a step down for ND as far as I am concerned. A win is a win. And that game was a blast to be at.

He's fine actually. I know him. Nothing broken, but lots of pain, and he has to go to PT for awhile.
