I've got an iphone 4, was interested in trying 4.1...how do I do the update via TU to preserve the existing baseband? I don't see it in the readme or any options in TU itself?

I did read it, that's how I know about it.
I was in fact, referring to the iphone4 so I should have mentioned that.

Guess that means the dev team post doesn't apply to i4 users?

I thought TinyUmblrella said it supports baseband downgrades...doesnt that contradict what the dev team says?

Actually, I have an american zip code and my best friends SSN. This info, in combination with a ATT prepaid microsim, should this be enough to complete my activation?

Can someone explain what he means by they need a SSN and billing code? What is he talking about? Is he stuck at the activation screen? Shouldnt the phonebook card do the job? Or does he mean it came with 4.0.2?

Can I use an old deactivated pre-paid att sim to activate a new ATT iphone4 to get through the activation screen or do i NEED the phonebook card specifically?

yes I do have the original Sim so I am good that way. I just remember that pwnagetool wasnt compatible with the old spirit jailbreak so i didnt want to switch to spirit if it will be a bad decision in the future...

I've been using only Dev team tools for previous jailbreaks, right up to 4.0. I have never used or wanted to use a spirit jailbreak.

I'm looking to update to 4.0.1 now though, should I let my itunes update to 4.0.1 and use comex new tool, or should I just stick with 4.0 or wait (if dev team ever does) release new versions of pwnagetool?

I'm slightly confused when it comes to the bootneuter. I'm trying to use expert mode so I can change my boot images, and am not sure if I should select bootneuter or not.

I'm using a 3GS 3.1 with a custom ipsw already, and keeping my old baseband from 3.0 in tact for future unlocking with ultrasn0w.

In my situation, what is the correct procedure? Bootneuter or don't select it?
