I think it's time for us the citizens to quit coddling the government, take out their pacifier, and potty train them. Maybe even a few spankings would do them good. The best strategy would be to cut off their main resources...our income tax. Our nation started off without it and I think we can go on without it. If officials refuse...people do have the power of voting...and there isn't anything a politician wants more than votes....well...money.

my brother is in the USA army...he was a staff sergeant stationed in Fort Hood but now they are transferring him to Fort Riley...he's been over to Iraq 3 times now...and we hope and pray he doesn't have to go back...hasn't he served enough?

and since I am Samoan...there are a bunch of my people from American Samoa (although I am from Western Samoa) that serve in the military and it breaks my heart...they can only become US citizens if they go off to fight in a war and a few of them have died and haven't even gotten a chance to exercise their new citizenship...and then we have greedy, lying, backstabbing politicians who don't give a crud about our soldiers oversees that are trying to take away that freedom that our men and women are fighting for...

The change that means if the politicians aren't accountable then they lose their positions and if the government does something stupid then the people decide the punishment and how to handle it. My goodness, the government is exactly like a baby. We gotta feed it...clothe it...change it's messies...bathe it when it gets stinky...and put it to sleep when it gets tired...but I think we as citizens need to stop coddling the government and tell it to grow up. Cut off the funds we give them and tell them to get a job! Stop living off of my money and make your own (oh wait...they're already doing that!).

I think it's time again for WE THE PEOPLE...not we the government...and get rid of the IRS...it really is unconstitutional...and the government needs a lil' weening...

I do have those same feelings because I was adopted by wonderful Christian older parents who still care what happens to America and understand that investing in ME not the government...is the best way to invest in the future of America. They wanted me to grow up knowing those principles which is why they sent me to a private christian school.

As for the older generations, you cannot place the blame on a whole generation for what a few pinhead (yes I watch O'reilly) government officials and even citizens decided they wanted the direction of America to go. It is when we start re-defining foundations that gets us into trouble...and in my opinion...if the citizens had gotten into this economic crisis then for goodness sake go ahead and get stimulus packages together and tax us for...if we did it...but we didn't!

And of course there is hope for us...there is always hope. But hope and love and joy and peace are only words and feelings and will remain only that if we do not put some action to it. As long as we sit and talk about change in America, nothing will change and when I talk about "change" I mean the good ol' fashion kind of change.

I am sixteen years old and am living in Kentucky. Of the thirty states that Glenn mentioned, I was wondering if Kentucky was one of those.

Also, I know a lot of parents and grandparents are tired of the government enslaving their children and grandchildren, but I am sick of the government enslaving ME! Everytime a new stimulus bill comes out, that is more of my money (that I haven't even begun making yet) being claimed by the government. You want to talk about taxation without representation? I am being taxed for the future and I have no representation. Suck much?
