Yes he is a libertarian and supports freedom for sans-nationals. But *freedom* does *not* mean being allowed to rip people off. Freedom means freedom for *everyone.* I can't rip you off, because you have the *right* not to be ripped off.

Yes the sans-national corporations are the biggest purveyors and beneficiaries of war. Dr. Paul would end that by ending the wars. Obama and Romney just want more war.

Lack of regulation might indeed make the rich richer, but who cares. It would make you and me richer too. A lot richer. All the artificial barriers to success would come down as all the barriers that separate you from your goals are put there by government rules and regulations.

Guess I am insane then. I believe that a free market, while not perfect stands head and shoulders, even insoles, above any centrally controlled economy for about 10 reasons. Read Murray Rothbard, better still,Henry Hazlett's _Economics in One Lesson_. Both found on mises.org.

The article said:

"Who but the gaggle of foreign policy experts surrounding the three leading Republican presidential candidates, all of whom are salivating for war, can deny that America is in steep decline?"

Another, the fourth leading Republican presidential candidate, Ron Paul, wants to get out of the wars, and recognized that America is in steep decline because of the wars in particular and because of too much government in general.

Paul is still in the race and intends to stay in the race!

Hm. Seems like European countries instituted a minimum drinking age and other trappings of prohibition in recent years, probably at the behest of the U.S. Many decades ago people were saying that drinking problems in Europe were very small compared to the U.S. where there is a crazy-quilt of liquor laws. There was relative freedom over there.

Wonder if there is a connection. I'll bet money there is.

I, too, am praying for a Ron Paul victory. My motto is "No Paul, no America."

Obviously, like I said to my precinct at the caucus (where Paul ran away with more than half of all votes and I like to think I did some good) we have to defeat Obama. But it is more than that. What do we replace Obama *with?* Not another Obama like Romney. Not a warmongering authoritarian like Santorum or Gingrich. None of these 3 believes in freedom and none interpret the Constitution strictly.

We need to replace Obama with someone who understands the Constitution, does not want to be policeman of the world and understands economics. That is Ron Paul.

My blog endorses him too. Check it out!

Actually that isn't capitalism at all. What you are calling capitalism is actually mercantilism, which is, indeed, close to fascism. Capitalism is actually economic freedom where the government leaves people alone to do what they want as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others. There might be safety nets but government does not regulate and taxes are kept very low.

Read a book? I have studied economics. Not a major or anything, but I have studied economics. Fascism and socialism are different only in the details. The main thing is government involvement to the detriment of individuals. Go to http://www.mises.org and you'll find a wealth of information.

Since when is there any *real* difference between socialism and fascism? Both deny any rights to the individual, and give all power to the state and its cronies. The Left and the neo-con Right are basically the same, and came from the same roots.

Maybe the reason we have been able to beat off seat belt laws in New Hampshire is because of the Free State Project. Freedom-lovers have been moving there for years in an attempt to restore freedom in some part of the country.

I don't have the web page, but you can probably Google.
