No, white isn't available on A&T's site either.

AT&T's site's back up. But now I want white so I'm going to see if I can wait. I can't wait long, but I can wait a little longer...

I talked to Apple and the white one will be available immediately. No delay until summer. That was a rumor.

I disagree. I work in the utility industry and the EMF produced is not considered unharmful.

Three reasons cell towers make bad neighbors

1. Loud: One CLEAR tower on 50th and Burnside was so loud it was cited for noise violation. It took CLEAR over 14 months to fix it. Do you want to spend a year with a noisy electronics box outside your home?
2. Ugly: No matter what color they paint it, these towers don't fit in residential neighborhoods. Fremont is a long, straight street. If they build a tower at 37th, it will be visible from 33rd to 45th. Hardly the least visually impactful location.
3. Unhealthy: Even the FCC — which licenses these towers — admits that the connection between the RF radiation they emit and cancer has not been studied adequately. They say results are "inconclusive." Until they know for sure, we should take reasonable precautions to protect the health of our community.

Not true. It's dozens of feet taller than phone/electric poles with a cage around the top - extremely unsightly, which is just one of the issues. The cell company has showed photos to the neighborhood.

That area gets cell service just fine and the footprint is not small.

No they weren't. There are no cell towers in the area in question. So no one "bought a home next to a tower".

Yes they are -- dozens of feet taller than a regular phone/power pole. Where they're going to put it is an understandable question. They want to put it in the corner of their parking lot, up against the fence that borders homes. Plus some kind of power station as well.

Please get your facts straight. There are NOT any existing cell towers anywhere near the proposed residential location. The tower they want to build is 60 feet tall - a complete eyesore with questionable EMF emitted and it doesn't belong there. If other people want it in their backyard, be my guest. Wilshire Market & Deli, the only commercial structure anywhere nearby, is just trying to make a fast buck, but it's not fair to the neighborhood.
