Actually the battery is charging with the motor running. Alternator belt is located on the front of the engine connected to the crankshaft, camshaft, water pump, power steering and any other accessory added; not the wheels. Then again im not an ASD certified mechanic so im probably wrong.

Well when you see a car on fire with someone trapped inside, with the combination of smoke, rain and darkness visibility is obviously at an extreme low. Must going to take a member of your family to cut the rescuers some slack.
