Where and how to point hosts to apple not cydia? "Set hosts to Cydia on Exit" is greyed out and its already unchecked. Reboot means reboot TinyUmbrella?

Thank you very much for the info. Yes, I meant 9b206 and 9b208. Sorry about that. I downloaded 9b208 and PT worked fine and I made custom iOS. When I put my iphone 4 into DFU mode (through PT) and was restoring with option/alt button, I would get unknown error 11. I used latest TinyUmbrella with my SHSH blobs saved for 5.1.1 (9b208) and "Request SHSH from Cydia" unchecked. Can someone explain what error 11 means please?

Hello all,

I downloaded Pwnage Tool 5.1.1 and try to make my custom iOS but when i want to select original 5.1.1 (DB206) it tells me "wrong bundle selected." Any thoughts?

And just for information, whats the difference between DB206 and DB208 builds?

Hello everyone,

I have been away from jailbreaking and unlocking world for awhile now (since Gevey Sim came around). I was wondering if you can answer couple of questions.

I have:
iPhone 4
2.10.04 BB
4.2.1 iOS
Using Gevey Sim (came in red packaging) for unlock.

For now, I downloaded 5.1.1 firmware and used TinyUmbrella to save 5.1.1 SHSH blobs.

Is Gevey Sim gonna work on 5.1.1 after I save my BB with 5.1.1 jailbreak?
Is Pwnage Tool going to be work on for 5.1.1 jailbreak (I used it on all my phones)?

Hello, I have a quick observation. I have 2.10 BB on my i4. I used to have 4.1 on my phone before upgrading to iOS5 and after I realized Gsim does not work. I downgraded to 4.3.1 (used PT for custom firmware and preserving my BB). After installation of 4.3.1 and using GSim, everything works perfectly BUT it ONLY gives me one signal bar in upper left corner. Anywhere I go it only shows me one signal bar. I made two custom firmwares with PT, one with activate and one with out activate the phone. One with activate did not work, but one with not activate worked but only one signal bar (using GSim). If I did something wrong please let me know. Thank you in advance.

I saw some youtube videos that you can use GSim with 3.10 and 4.10 BB (if you preserve them). I preserved my BB (2.10) and I thought it should work. After installing custom iOS5 made by redsnow, GSim did not work. Then I went back to 4.3.1 for now.

Hello,
I installed NO_BB IOS5 on my i4 with 2.10 BB and I used GSim. Did not work. Any ways to bump up a BB to 3.10 or 4.10 so I can reinstall custom iOS5 and unlocked with Gsim? Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I tried to restore to new iOS 5 custom file (to preserve my BB) to my iPhone 4 and it says that my phone is not eligible for this built. What does that mean? how to get around it to install custom iOS 5 on my device? thank you in advance.

Jailbreak = yes
unlock = no (you have to wait for Dev Team to release ultrasnow OR you can buy Gevey SIM on your own risk)
downgrade to earlier version = no
