Ouch, a high ankle sprain is generally quite tedious. I hope Frank heals up pretty quick, but it will probably be awhile, depending on the damage his ankle has sustained. All the best in recovery!

Hi Dr. McNally, thanks a lot for your opinion! I ended up grabbing the rehab guide and have been at it the past 3 weeks for my right ankle. It's been going super well for me, much better than I imagined. But as you said, everyone is different, so great suggestions. Thanks!

Coach, to be honest, I'm not sure about your particular situation.. and since you have a BA I'm sure you know way more than me! But I've had my own trouble with ankle sprains (during basketball) and had always seemed to re-sprain them at some point. This last time though (about 3 weeks ago) I sprained my right ankle again, for the 4th or 5th time..

While researching around online I can across this site:http://www.sprainedankle.org/ - It walked me through the H.E.M. ankle rehab guide, and told me about the benefits, etc. To be honest I was really skeptical.. but it kicked some serious butt! Lots of great techniques and pt exercises in there, especially for only $20. I ended up rehabbing it for the last 3 weeks. The swelling was way down after only a few days, and it's been getting stronger ever since. Something to check out if you're looking for some great techniques and exercises to rehab it.

Best,
- Brett

Has anyone used the sprained ankle rehab guide called HEM? It's been recommended to me by this site: http://www.sprainedankle.me/

It seems like plenty of people have tried it, but I'd like a real time recommendation of it. Have you used it? How long does it really take to see results? Thank you!
