When I'm rushing on my run
And I feel just like Jesus' son
And I guess that I just don't know
And I guess that I just don't know.

It is potentially an interesting story, if you were to develop the characters and do all those other things that real authors do. If, instead, you were to spout some factoids about the hippy movement cribbed from wikipedia, adding in some details about something that hasn't happened yet (for example, Jerry reading about a concert called Woodstock when the storyline is in spring of 1969), and getting some details completely wrong (my guess would be for daughter to OD on LSD, for instance), it would be not so interesting.

In other words, if you were to write it in typical Ray Comfort fashion.

Jerry's daughter will get caught up in the hippy movement in the late 60s, possibly moving to the San Francisco neighbourhood of Haight Ashbury. She will get knocked up during the summer of love, and get an abortion after being told that it is "just a bit of tissue".

Of course, she will be tortured with guilt afterwards and turn to drugs. Her dependence on drugs will grow until she either kills herself or turns to Jesus. I'm not sure which route Ray will take.

(Please be advised that this is merely speculation on my part, and any similarities to the actual story are not to be taken as evidence of me reading the "book" or of a supernatural being)

I have stopped myself from saying "oh my God" or "thank God" in everyday speech. My mother-in-law says "oh my God" ridiculously often - she repeats it like a nervous tic almost. We were trying to stop our daughter from saying it, so I made an effort to stop myself from using the expression. My wife can't help herself, though, and will often say "thank God". I usually reply that she should thank whoever is responsible instead. A few weeks ago, for instance, my daughter hurt her head and I had to take her to the hospital where the doctor glued the wound shut. No problems, and everything went smoothly. My wife said "thank God" and I pointed out that she should instead thank the doctor who fixed the wound, and also her husband who took her to the hospital.

I do sometimes say something like "thanks be to Jesus", but that is so over the top that people realize I'm being facetious.

Funny that the auto-censor allows "Dick" but not "D-y-k-e" to get through...

I'm sure you would be happy to quote your source for this assertion.

Congratulations, Ray, on finally getting the name of Hitler's book correct. I know that was a tough hurdle for you to get over.

What about the bicycle that he rides? It has a basket in which he can put his poodle and/or baguette, as the situation demands.

I would recommend Randy Quaid for Terry Burton. Besides the obvious physical resemblance, Randy would really be able to convey the paranoid mind of Terry quite convincingly.

No recommendations for cCarl, but you really do need to include him. And Mark W. Lame.

Ray's auto-censor obviously knows what M-E-R-D-E means.

I assume that is the word you typed in.
