The people involved hacked phones. Google obtains information about people and sells it. They obtain it from phones, through email, through search engines, through facebook and more. Google does not always obtain the information through legal means. Google is under contract with federal agencies to provide various services. I don't see why that is not a scandal and this is.
This is why I asked if I am missing something. Did they do more than hack phones?

"I don't know what "Regressive double-speak" means. I'm guessing that is cool Conserva-lingo used to debase people who disagree with you politically and/or philosophically.

followed by a mess of links pointing out bad acts, from You! So cute! And it was a bit before you pointed out that pointing out bad acts as a justification was a losing argument. I know sometimes it is hard to keep up. It is ok. I love having people like you post here!

Unfortunately he did not keep this a private matter and accused someone of hacking him. By blaming someone else and the lefts insinuations that they know who it is and then the blaming of the messenger it has become a Big story. All he had to do is fess up and apologize to his wife rather than throw accusations out there. You can't sully others and expect them not to prove you wrong even if it was done through a friendly media.
I feel very bad for the young woman in seattle. She seems somewhat sensible and may be the main victim of all this. It is normal to flirt with celebrities at her age. Nothing she did merited the disruption in her life.
