Hope it's Llorente this January... whoever says Llorente is crap only wants a Galactico signing which he isn't! But people we need a game-changer not Galactico!! Look how Llorente helps Spain break the buses, he did in the WC he's doing it now too
No Pato or Suarez would come use to us come the business end of this season, because both of them would be cup-tied for CL!!

And I suddenly realized there's a possibility that the club might aim to bring Silva on loan for the second half of the season... that would be really good, we could solve the issue of lack of depth in mid field too :)

I would actually love to see Thiago play some time with the main team but may be he is better off playing another season with the B team in the second division. That would help him develop better because he's getting playign time as well as the experience of the elite players in the world too!!

no no... the rulebook is revisited and the UEFA has relaxed it's rules. That's why all the talk about Tottenham bidding for Fabiano even after he appeared for qualifiers. That should ring a bell.

"The executive committee has agreed that a player who appears for a club in any of the preliminary rounds of the Champions League or Europa League can play for another team in the competition proper, so long as his original team is eliminated in the preliminary competition."

But remains to be seen whether the rule applies for Group stages though... I think it does. Because no point in applying it for qualifications but not group stages

First off, he's not going to cost 30m... He will nto be cup-tied if Benfica get knocked out of CL in the group stages(very high probablity there because they lost 2 of their best players in di Maria & Ramires and kind of sucking lately)

di Maria arguably their most prized asset cost Madrid only 25m... the rumors were around 45m if I remember right. Also the attackers are usually more costly than the defenders. I guess he'd be easily captured for around 20m

He did great for Schalke, he did GREAT for Bremen and now he is doing fine for Germany as well... so he would not exactly be out of place if you pick him out of that engine, as you say

Don't you think keeping Zlatan and buying Fabiano to strengthen up would be the best option!?

Because Zlat can improve, if not we'd still have a proven striker in Fabiano that way!!
